What is ABA therapy?

ABA therapy is a treatment that utilizes the techniques derived from applied behavior analysis to increase or decrease behaviors.  Within our sessions we utilize positive reinforcement to increase socially significant skills to enhance or improve the quality of life for each individual.  These skills could include social skills, language skills, communication or skills or daily living.

How many hours are required?

The number of hours is determined through assessment and the treatment planning process with the licensed behavior analysist.

Where do services occur?

Services can occur in home, in our center, or a combination of both.

How can I be involved as a parent?

The parents/caregivers are active participants in the development of the treatment plan.  Family will participate in the generalization of mastered skills at home.  A parent training curriculum is also utilized, which may be useful for some but not all families.

Do you only work with children with autism?

The short answer is no, but the longer answer is it depends on your insurance.
